The school admits boarders from 10 years of age. There is a staff nurse, a housekeeper & three matrons (all residential) to look after them and their welfare. There are also helpers who assist the matrons look after the young boarders.
The Staff in Boarding includes:
Parents are allowed to visit their children once a week, on Saturdays, between 3:30pm – 5:00pm. The last Saturday of each month is a holiday when parents will be allowed to take boarders out, at the discretion of the Principal.
Boarders will not be allowed to remain in School during:
- The Winter Vacation
- The Puja Holidays
- The Summer break
Boarders’ clothes:
All articles must be plainly marked with the child’s name tags stitched to the articles. An accurate list of the clothes brought should be pasted inside the child’s box. While every care will be taken by the school authorities of articles of clothing, the school will not be responsible for any loss or damage. Parents should specially note that all articles, if not new, should be of acertain durability. Garments that are threadbare, discoloured and torn should not be sent with the children. All articles should be in good order, i.e., not wanting in tapes or buttons, or in need of mending. The clothes should be brought along with the children at the beginning of the school year.
It is mandatory for each boarder to have a local guardian who can be easily contacted in the event of any emergency.
